CheckInvestNg (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Nigerian investment information and calculator platform accessible at https://www.checkinvestng.com. We are the Data Controller for personal data processed through this website.

2. Data We Collect
We collect data in the following ways:
- —Data You Provide: When you submit a contact form we collect your name and email address. When you subscribe to a rate alert we collect your email address, the alert topic and frequency you chose, and the page you subscribed from — nothing else, and no calculator inputs.
- —Usage Data (automatically collected): We collect anonymised analytics data including pages visited, time on site, browser type, and country. This is collected via a privacy-respecting analytics tool and does not include your IP address in identifiable form.
- —Calculator Inputs: Investment amounts and parameters you enter into our calculators are processed locally in your browser. We do not transmit or store your calculator inputs on our servers.
- —Cookies: We use essential cookies for site functionality (e.g. currency preference) and optional analytics cookies. You may manage cookie preferences via your browser settings.
3. How We Use Your Data
- —To provide our services: Delivering calculator results, live rate data, and site features.
- —To communicate with you: Responding to contact form submissions; sending newsletters only if you subscribed.
- —To improve our platform: Analysing aggregate usage patterns to improve content and functionality.

5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own purposes — no advertisers, no marketers, no data brokers. We do rely on service providers who process data strictly on our instructions in order to run the site: the mail service that delivers rate-alert e-mails and the analytics providers named in section 6. They may not use the data for anything else, and they are contractually bound to protect it.
We may also share data if required to do so by Nigerian law, court order, or government authority.
6. Advertising
CheckInvestNg displays advertisements to support the free service. We use Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
7. Data Retention
Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 12 months. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely in aggregate form.
8. Your Rights Under the NDPR
As a data subject, you have the right to:

9. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong passwords and not share sensitive financial information via contact forms.
10. Children's Privacy
CheckInvestNg is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided personal data, we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of CheckInvestNg after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
12. Rate Alert E-mails
Rate alerts are optional and never required to use any calculator. If you subscribe, we store your e-mail address, the topic (for example CBN treasury bill stop rates), the frequency you chose and the page you subscribed from, and we use that data only to send the alert you asked for. Every alert e-mail contains a one-click unsubscribe link; using it stops the e-mails at once and keeps your address on a suppression list so we do not e-mail it again by mistake. You can ask for the address to be deleted entirely via the contact form. Alert addresses are never sold, rented, or passed to anyone for their own use, and never to advertisers or other marketers. They do pass through the mail service that delivers the e-mail on our behalf — currently the Hostinger mailbox that hosts this site, acting only on our instructions and only to deliver the alert you asked for. That is the single processor involved, and it is the same distinction drawn in section 5 above: a service provider that handles the data on our instructions is not a third party we share it with.
